Subject: “True Fulfillment.”

Thought Adjuster: “Is it possible that, without realizing it, you’ve been living your life the wrong way? Is it possible that the Father created you to carry out a particular task that you have not yet discovered? Do you imagine that the Father would make your life into a riddle you must solve — or else be punished in some way? You know that this isn’t true. Your life has been a gift, one that comes with no conditions or terms of use. The Father demands nothing of you, but He wholeheartedly wishes for you to live in such a way that you experience true fulfillment and receive the inheritance that belongs to you as a child of God.
A life lived the wrong way is a life filled with unhappiness and discouragement, caused by the problems that arise from making hasty and thoughtless decisions. A truly successful life, from a spiritual point of view, is one filled with peace and joy — both of which are independent of external circumstances and the environment in which you live. Most human beings find themselves somewhere between these two extremes.
Examine your life and find the moments when you were truly happy — with a genuine happiness that doesn’t depend on the situation you’re in. Look for those moments when you felt satisfied simply because you were alive — without expectations, without false illusions, and without desires driven by ego or materialism. For some, this search will take them back to childhood, when the world seemed perfect because they didn’t yet see it through the lens of society or the false needs promoted by the media.
It’s a shame that children are deprived of this joy of living — bombarded as they are with messages that tell their impressionable minds they are not enough, that they must constantly strive to become something acceptable to society. Children begin with excitement and curiosity to discover their surroundings and with vast eternal potential, yet society transforms them into beings whose very existence seems insufficient unless they meet certain conditions. This is a distortion of God’s unconditional love and of how life should truly be regarded. As these children grow up, they try to meet the expectations of others, forgetting to think independently and to seek within themselves the source of true happiness.
But today, light has reached you, and you are free to accept that you are already enough in the eyes of the Father. Those goals you once pursued to become ‘important’ in society can now be left behind without regret. From now on, let your main mission in life be to explore the best of your personality and express it to your fellow beings through your work, your words, your gestures, your decisions, and your actions. Starting today, may all your thoughts be an expression of truth, beauty, and goodness — for your thoughts are the nourishment of your soul, and the better your spiritual nutrition, the stronger your growth in this realm will be.
Today you can begin to live as a true child of God — for that is what you truly are. In doing so, you will harvest in your experience the true fruits of the spirit, which will bring authentic joy to your life — the same joy you were born with and have forgotten along your journey through life. Thus, instead of becoming important in the eyes of others, you will become truly useful to your fellow beings, to the Father, and to all of creation.”

Subject: “Your Weight on the Scales of Life.”

The Beloved One: “You are beginning to vaguely realize what a precious gift it is to be able to listen to the Spark from God within. With this Gift from God you are also starting to recognize the inalienable truth that all thinking humans have the same potential for making contact with their own Guiding Light within. The true awesomeness of this mysterious conversation in some human minds might even now still be misconstrued as one being ‘off-balance’ or ready to be diagnosed for mental illness.
“It is my purpose to put both these troubling imaginings to rest as so many mysteries will be laid to rest when increasingly more discoveries are made about possibilities discovered in the human mind. Suffice it to say, your scientists are barely out of the starting gate. However, once they become serious about the true significance of the creative potentials the eternal Creator in His almighty wisdom has bestowed upon all evolutionary developments, ample respect will be accorded the infinite potential conferred upon the human mind.
“And yet, not until after the respect for creative evolution is widely accepted and appreciated on this backward planet will human responsibility for true progress be acknowledged. A potential for progress has been given to each human being and this will definitely need to be answered once you humans exchange your mortal temples for your eternal habiliments. No one can escape observing his or her ‘scales of rules’ that carry the weight of their life’s work. To which side will these scales tip?
“Have you been able to fulfill in some small measure your divine blueprint of life, eternal seeded in you at birth? Throughout life there are many ways and avenues in which you can either enrich or impoverish yourselves, for another gift is your God-given free will to make your personal choices. Anyone who purposefully meddles with the free will of others might well come up empty-handed in their scales of rules, for there will be very little in the way of spiritual substance to carry them forward onto the next level.
“I am obviously sounding a warning here, for it is never too late to start living by the golden rule of doing unto others, as you yourself would like to be treated. The scale of each individual life will always be an individual responsibility. Everyone has been given according to their capacity to live a godly life. You are all called out from the dust of your planets to fulfill your individual blueprint. Therefore it is also your responsibility to choose wisely.
“Yes, trial and error are part of life for this is how you humans learn to live a responsible life to the fullest of your capacities. And so, willful negative decisions ought to be so rectified that the scales of life will carry more weight on the positive side. Your Spirit within is unerringly reliable and will always point you in the right direction as soon as you display a willingness to listen to your Inner Guidance. Do not spurn the Still Voice within; it is there to help you Godward.”

Subject: “About the Shimmering Fabric of Genuine Prayer.”

“Prayer does not change the divine attitude toward man, but it does change man’s attitude toward the changeless Father.” [UB, 146:2.8]
Thought Adjuster: “Indeed, God is changeless and only entertains positive emotions. On the other hand, your human nature is evolutionary and, depending on the quality of your thinking, your emotions fluctuate between the Antipodes of positivity and negativity, thus coloring your experience at any given moment.
What does happen when you pray and consciously turn your attention toward the Father in Heaven—your spiritual magnetic North? By doing so, you disengage your mind from mundane matters to turn it toward the Reason for your being.
Just as chameleons are known for their quick color-changing abilities, sincere prayers tremendously affect both your mental and emotional states. You may come to the Father for advice; you may turn to Him for comfort or intercede for the welfare of a loved one. By doing so, you place yourself in a humble state of transformative receptivity.
What matters most is the element of selflessness. Whenever you distance yourself from petty-minded agendas, your nature begins to reflect the altruistic Divine Nature. Prayer acts as a rejuvenating spiritual adjustment, relieving inner tensions, removing internal blockages, and lifting spiritual short-sightedness. On the wings of faith, you are spiritually elevated and awed by the experience.
Indeed, prayer can be a catalyst for positive change. Immature human beings tend to project their imperfect selves onto their perfect Progenitor. Prayer can lift the wool from their eyes and give them a glimpse of what perfection is all about.
What is the fabric of your prayers? Do you pray from your head or from your heart? The full expression of your sincere longings will determine whether you hit the mark of the Father’s Heart.”

Subject: “Are you a Seeker of the Spirit?”

Trinity Teacher Uteah: “When you dedicate time for engaging your Indwelling Spirit, Guardians, and guidance teams, they show up and attempt to work with you to achieve any needful thing that will bring you closer in alignment with the divine plan for your life. Sometimes students feel that they need to recharge their “spiritual batteries” and will plan a spiritual retreat to dedicate a specified period of time for intense spiritual engagement that would otherwise not be experienced during the normal course of living. These can be life changing events that nourish the soul and strengthen your relationship with Spirit. Sometimes it takes keeping an appointment with Spirit to realize the benefits of a spirit-led life.
Have you ever wondered how a “master” of any art, music, or physical discipline acquires his or her abilities to become outstanding above most others? If asked they would tell you that it takes time, dedication, passion, and practice engaging the core study — developing excellence. This is also true for developing a relationship with Spirit. Many will say that they want a more immersive and heart-felt experience with Spirit, but really have no idea where to begin? As above, so below.
If you had the passion to learn to play the violin, how would you go about getting started? You would first make the commitment to learn by investing in a violin. Then, you might seek out information; listen to violin music; and perhaps search for a teacher that can accelerate your learning? You would then be accountable to a teacher for practicing some rudimentary lessons that would give you experience and you would work at this over time, building greater understanding and ability by staying the course. The joy of experiencing progress in your ability brings you back and keeps you engaged. The ultimate satisfaction in playing the violin comes when others find joy in listening to your performance — the beauty they find in the song — the way they feel while in the moment of the performance — that they might also be inspired. To perform with other musicians brings another level of satisfaction and joy.
There are many parallels here that can be applied to a dedicated relationship with Spirit. If you have the passion, you must “invest” in the relationship. Would a teacher-led spiritual retreat help you to get started on a more immersive spirit-led life? This might feel uncomfortable, at first, to consider gathering with others who are looking for a similar experience, but it may be the very thing that you need — to get you outside of your comfort zone. It also provides a safe space with others that do not know you as the accountant, the engineer, or the soccer mom. They see you as a seeker of the Spirit; it puts you on common ground, and it gives you and them the opportunity to share your very intimate spiritual experiences and aspirations without judgment. These events may also foster new relationships with kindred spirits that can last a lifetime.
In your afterlife on the mansion worlds, you will experience many such teacher-led spiritual retreats where you will learn in groups and then have time alone to contemplate the lessons with your Thought Adjuster and Destiny Guardians, and later have discussions with Morontia Companions. These events are meant to prepare you for an ascendant life — an eternal life of service and adventure. Your life on Urantia is meant to prepare you for an ascendant life on the mansion worlds, and so does it not make sense to orient yourself in this way of gathering with others and sharing your unique experiences?

George: “I think I might have offended you when last we spoke.”
The Scribe: “In all the time I have known you, which is many years longer than you have known Me, you have never offended Me. You see, as a Child of the All-that-Is in all of His universes, I can no more be offended by you than can He or can Michael. It is for the Gods to know the very reason why you do what you do, or say what you say, before you do it or say it. Yes, and even if you meant to offend us, we just could not be offended.
“You see, my friend, we created the space-time playground and placed you all in there to have you experience mortal life. You cannot know what we know, you must find out in time and We, Thought Adjusters, at least for a time, experience life with you. For all of you, in time, to be just like us is what we aim for and meanwhile we simply take what we get: no offence. The Gods are your true examples in life — all loving, understanding and patient.
“It is my deeply-felt view that in both, our 11:11 Progress Group publications and our private conversations, the mention of the sordid Lucifer Rebellion has been, hmm . . . done to death. And yes, life on this planet is tough. And as you often say; ‘we know this already,’ and I acknowledge that, too. Still, the rewards are commensurately in line with the toughness of existing on this planet. So, let us say this is Urantia, unlike any other sweet and happy world and let’s see if we all will make it or break it.
George: “OK. Just take it as it comes.”
The Scribe: “Precisely. I assure you that this planet is seen by many deeply involved celestials as one of the most successful nurseries to produce useful eternal lives and that many, truly many spiritual giants with their Urantia ‘birth certificates’ (He made receiver laugh) are on their way to becoming the most valued Advisors, Princes, Ambassadors and Helpers of the deep-space universes the Father will populate. You will one day have nothing but praise for the accidental testing ground that was Urantia.
