Subject: “A Lesson on Privilege.”

The Beloved One: “Dear one, allow Me to voice My thoughts on privilege. Few humans as yet realize that although life is a gift to be enjoyed, it also is a privilege to give back to the Creator what is really His to begin with. The Creator generously bestows upon each creature a most valuable gift – that of life itself – and yet there are countless people who do not think twice about taking their own life or someone else’s life. With this deed they do not only deny themselves to live life to the fullest to become what the Creator intended them to be, but they also deny another person that right. No one has the right or the privilege to take what is not theirs.
The taking of a life is something that belongs in the ‘book of yesteryear’. It is time for humanity to come to grips with the concept of mine and thine, and fully understand the difference. It goes without saying that even the character trait of honesty is a privilege to be cultivated. We are speaking here of the greater values in life – honesty with the self and with all others. Each human being is valued beyond measure as a unique masterpiece. You cannot of yourselves take away anything God has given you without overstepping your boundaries by taking, or doing away with, that which is not rightfully yours to take or do away with. This is something which needs to be clearly understood. It is part of being sincere and honest.
“These matters will be further elucidated in the next (morontia) life. It will be a privilege for you to learn all the joys that are in store for you. But to gain access to these, it is required of you that you make gains in sincerity and more sincerity. Eventually there will not be a shadow of insincerity found in you, because you are then on the way to become more mature in your being-ness. This needs to also be understood. You will earn the privilege of becoming a fully-fledged spirit. This is the way and the truth of growing up, into that which is your privilege to become. For a long, long time, you will be a work in progress, always being on the look-out for where you can improve in character. It is a foregone conclusion in the mind of God, that once you start out to seek, and do His will, that you have started upon the road everlasting and in the mind of God, it is then already a fait accompli that you shall be perfect, never mind the intervening ages in between.
“The sooner you realize what a great gift in living life and what a great opportunity you have been given in this ascension plan to become perfect even as the Father on Paradise is perfect, the sooner you will accept each day as a gift and as the privilege to live to the best of your knowledge and capability. In time, as you sharpen your senses and notice how far you still have to go towards that perfection, do not become discouraged, for it will be the eternal hope, being kept alive in the human breast, which will keep you going. Remember also, you are never bereft of celestial assistance and heaven’s help in the form of the Spirit of Truth, which has been so generously and freely bestowed upon all normal thinking minds. Do take advantage of this great privilege and you will become forever grateful for having been born.

Thought Adjuster: “Regardless of all the advances by humanity in science and knowledge about the material word, many are still bound to ancient beliefs and fears because of their traditions and their religions. It is a difficult step for some to have enough mental flexibility to abandon their beliefs and escape from a life of indoctrination to then search for alternatives.
“Fear in human beings has always been a useful tool for control of the masses. At some point religious fear – fear of punishment – was a great civilizer that forced the immature human beings of ancient times to follow the rules and to establish a social identity that contributed to the development of nations and modern social groups. Many traditions were born out of the necessity of jolting the mind of men and women into paying more attention to their spiritual lives. You should understand that to reveal to primitive humans the freedom that arises from being a son or daughter of God would have been catastrophic. Freedom would turn into anarchy and the search for material satisfaction would have been the only rule. In the first days of history, people needed discipline, ensured by the belief that doing wrong would bring nasty consequences for the transgressors.
“Today many still need this fear to orient their lives in a positive way. Just like small and immature children, the possibility of punishment stimulates the development of the impulse to improve. However, as maturity is achieved, fear should be replaced by the spirit of adventure that exhorts the soul to discover the Father in a personal and independent way in her life and her being.
“Do not lament your dogmatic and backward religions, because they have contributed much to bring you to where you are now. The improvements of the society of this age are by a great measure a product of the religions of the past, which, despite their confusion and contradictions, have preserved the idea of the existence of God through time and generations. A child needs to find support from walls, furniture, or the hands of her parents when first learning to walk. But to start walking long distances or in attempting to run, she should take the risk of doing it alone and learning to get up each time she falls. Thus, those that today are asleep in religions that no longer offer answers to their increasingly perspicacious questions, should have the courage to start walking on their own and discover by themselves what it means to be a child of God.”

Subject: “Sexuality and Respect for the Personality.”

Prolotheos: “Sexuality is a most powerful driving force in human nature, perhaps only second to the human survival instinct. While the survival instinct strives for the continuance of the individual’s life, sexuality is the driving force that ensures the continuation of the species. You share the animal instincts with all other creatures, through the ministry of the first five of seven Adjutant Spirits of the Mother Spirit. However, only humans can reach personality status and only they enjoy the ministry of the spirits of Wisdom and of Worship which dictate the sound and moral use of all animal instincts, and among them, the sexual one.
“Procreation is the primary function of sex, and the pleasure associated with it is to guarantee that it is frequently practiced to ensure species continuance. However, since humans are personal beings (not mere animals), sexuality is not to be exercised only based on its instinctive drive, but rather rightfully enjoyed if one has respect for one’s partner’s personality. Firstly, one’s capacity for sexual activity as a natural development is the result of physical maturity, but not necessarily maturity of the personality, emotional and or intellectual maturity. Therefore, sexuality needs to be a responsible activity when practiced by individuals that have reached physical and personality maturity, being able to make conscious and responsible choices. Although normal human beings become morally conscious early in their lives (about 6-7 years of age) they are not yet totally – either physically or intellectually – mature enough to responsibly make sexual choices at such an early age. Therefore, exercise of sexuality is not yet proper for children, and so, both parents and society must shield them of its misuse and abuse. The same applies to individuals with mental retardation or slow intellectual development.
“While sex is not evil in and of itself, as some cultures and religions may view it, the evildoer may use it as a tool. Human beings, as sexual creatures, must enjoy their sexuality with wisdom; that is to use it with dignity and respect. It is a common saying in modern Urantian societies that it is ‘ok’ for the practice of sex between ‘consenting adults’. While this is an important condition to be met, it is never a license to be immoral, perverting, degrading of physical bodies or social and religious mores. Sexuality is healthy when exercised with respect and dignity, without abuse, prejudice or bigotry. In sexuality, self-control is surely needed, if it is to be a dignified expression of the human personality.
“Evidently, evolution, civilization’s status, economics, poverty, ignorance, depravation, religious and social mores development complicate and many times corrupt sexual relations between individuals, producing all kinds of mixed and undesirable situations such as prostitution, pornography, humiliation, promiscuity, rape, abuse of women and children in human trafficking, commerce and many other abject and questionable behaviors. As a general rule, sexuality should never be compulsory, be forced or violent, but rather it is to be enjoyed by consent by mature individuals, without abuse or licentiousness, with wise consideration to the current social and religious mores, besides a most profound respect for the personality status of human beings.

Bzutu: “We greet you both. Quite a number of us are assembled here and we look forward to be spending some time with you. It has been some months since we all got together in this way, and during this day we have been quite looking forward to once again making your home a meeting place. This is Midwayer ABC-22 and I assure you that you are, and likely always will be, one of my most difficult students. Simply because we are so close, I find it easy to get through to you, but whereas some receivers may battle with not going deep enough, it is you who tends to go too deep, where misapprehension, where misunderstanding, where, might I call it, pollution of the messages may occur, which we must later sort out, must double check. All this pales compared to the kinds of questions I must answer, and yes, Ionah intends to renew your acquaintance. For now another is waiting for you.”
Machiventa: This is Machiventa Melchizedek. It is opportune for me to speak with you. It is opportune for me to provide you with a few explanations, give you an understanding of the differences between the Nebadon Creator Son, his outlook on his world, his foreknowledge of many things on the one hand, and the attitude and function of the Life Carriers and Melchizedeks on the other hand. Whereas Michael has a laissez faire attitude, a totally forgiving attitude, towards every one of his creatures, various Celestials, including Life Carriers and Melchizedeks in particular, have a more direct task in the progress of the inhabited worlds. Archangels, in steering humanity towards its goal, the Life Carriers in the sense that they put together all the ingredients that will promise success at a later time, and the Melchizedeks in their abilities to see various difficulties crop up ahead of time. All are endowed with unconditional love, but each group has its specific purpose. And indeed, it was repeatedly input on our part to let you know that those teachings that will not see a great deal of success are supported neither by the Angels, nor by the Midwayers, nor by the Teachers, nor by the Mentori who work on simply producing greater and more knowledgeable groups to assist in this Correcting Time of the local sector former rebellious planets.

Teacher Ophelius: “Today we will talk about the process of detoxification. Many of you have heard about this process to clear out from the body unhealthy toxins which have built up over years of ingesting processed foods and pharmaceuticals that can lead to serious physical ailments. Similar to this process of detoxing the body, one must consider the detoxification of the mind – to clear out the unhealthy poisons that affect the emotional and spiritual life. The way to having healthy thoughts, feelings, and a fertile spiritual life is to remove the poisons that block the light and enslave the mind.
“When one feels good physically, it affects ‘the emotional and spiritual weather’ of the individual. This is a good and needful first step, to feel good physically, but in order to do so there must first be the intent to become healthy. This intent to become healthy must also include the emotional and mental health, for one cannot become whole and only care for the body and ignore the mind. All systems work together – body, mind, and spirit.
“Doctors, especially in western cultures, focus mainly on treatment of physical ailments while they almost completely ignore the mental condition of the patient, which in many cases is the root cause for the physical manifestation of illness. What goes into the mind has a great effect on what goes out from the mind. We know that having poor eating habits will be detrimental to our physical health, but do we consider ingesting poor thought causes poor attitudes, bad feelings, and darkened energy to be broadcast to the outer world? We must consider this if we wish to become whole.
“Do you want more love, happiness, peace, and joy in your life? Of course you do, for if you truly want these virtues in your life, you must remove the things that prevent you from having it. To have more love, you must be more loving – you cannot attract love until you give love. You cannot be happy until you make someone else happy through loving kindness, nurturing guidance, and friendship. You cannot have peace until you let go of thoughts of revenge, hatred, malice, un-forgiveness – all negative thoughts and emotions. You cannot feel joy until all division is purged from your mind and oneness settles in on your soul.
“Where do you start? Start by turning off the streams of negative information that continually bombard your mind. Turn off the TV and radio and remove the incessant chatter that clutters the mind and tells you how to think, to feel, and what opinions to have. Stop watching violence as a form of entertainment. How can you have peace when scenes of killing and revenge become the memories of your night out? How can you have a healthy opinion when you accept the polarized viewpoints of politicized media?
“There is a healthy balance, my friends, which can be had where you can still be informed, yet stay above the lies and fears that are continually brought before you in this ‘age of information.’ Make time for stillness and meditation – clear the mind of all the toxins of the world and have gratitude, be in your peace, and send thoughts of love out into the universe. Let the Indwelling God fill you with unconditional love and instruct you on how to grow a healthy soul.
