George: “It’s almost irreverent, except you said…”
The Scribe: “Well, indeed did I say, you need only mention my name and I shall be with you? I have for you all a lesson that will open both your eyes and minds about the power of spiritual proximity and its results, good or bad. I will discuss with you all, the rebellion of millennia ago, and the resulting difficulties for great numbers of the children of the System of Satania – Angels, of course, and Midwayers – but countless others unrecorded in your books.
“Many have asked themselves the question, ‘Why would so many Primary Midwayers – the majority to be sure – find themselves ‘cheering for’ anyone, other than the Creator Son of Nebadon. There are basically three important reasons why they did. Firstly, Lucifer, and in this planet’s instance, his first lieutenant, Satan, made promises of a better, more independent life for all Urantians if they switched sides. Secondly, the Lucifer manifesto was being promoted over and over again, carefully at first, enthusiastically as time went by.
“More importantly, and thirdly, there was the matter of spiritual proximity. Doubtful as this can sound, proximity to an individual of such high office as was held by Lucifer, Satan, or even Caligastia, had its effect on underlings like Midwayers and Angels. Exalted spiritual personalities always effect ‘the economy of any spiritual realm’ by their very presence. The Primary Midwayers were long subjected to the Elites’ supposed ‘better deal’, and any slight weakness in their personality had them lose sight of their real task.
“Any aspect of impatience, or frustration, any feeling of boredom, or dread about the slowness of evolutionary processes would sooner or later have them all note how their superiors sold themselves, and ‘the new deal’, and what their leaders had to say about that ‘glorious alternative’ to the status quo. However, more sinister than all this was the way their minds readily, but quite un-noticed, aligned themselves with the convictions of their superiors. The process can almost be likened to osmosis, and must be seen as almost unavoidable.
“Much better educated than were the Secondary Midwayers, the Primary Midwayers lost proportionately more to the rebellion than did their younger, distant cousins. Strange? Indeed, no! The Primary Midwayers were subjected to the rebellious teachings for much longer, and as well, they often had the then Planetary Prince in close proximity. The somewhat uneducated Secondary Midwayers noted and disliked the spiritual disorganization of that time, and they had Adamson, and some loyal Primary Midwayers close at hand.
“There now is no more war in the heavens, so bear this in mind in your comings and goings, that your association with celestials is of great benefit to you. Such is the case not just here, but during all of your future journey from the fertile soils of this evolutionary world to the grandeur of Mansonia and beyond.

Subject: “Giving Without Expectations.”

Thought Adjuster: “To give without expecting anything in return is a very important and necessary attitude to have in this world. However, we should clarify some of the ideas that your society has formulated in this respect.
“Human beings must work to earn their sustenance. It is not expected of mortals to work without obtaining a benefit. If a person works solely for the benefit of another, this is slavery. If a person decides to forfeit their fair earnings, due for his or her efforts, this person is endangering his or her material survival. Clearly, work should be adequately remunerated, and all mortals have the right to enjoy the results of their material labors.
“When we talk about giving without expectations, we talk about those things you can offer your siblings to improve their lives or to enlighten their ways. These things may be separated from your profession or be a part of it. Problems arise when people determine that the potential effort involved to help others doesn’t make sense, because it will not result in personal benefits.
“Such is the prevailing attitude in the world today. So often the answers are known, but they are not implemented by an individual, group, corporation, or government, because they haven’t found a way to profit from them. You may notice how much food is wasted by the biggest retailers of industrialized nations. Tons of food are never sold, and this surplus is simply discarded, wasted. One might think that this surplus could be used to feed the poorer nations on earth. However, these big corporations have not found a method in which to do this and generate earnings at the same time, when in fact they could just send that food to where it is most needed, using barely a fraction of their huge profits. This bottom-line way of thinking prevents a lot of good from being done in the world.
“Even those in the ‘self-help’ and spirituality circles are subjected to this way of thinking. So often do they approach those who really need their help and instead of offering the advice, guidance, and counseling that would help them, they just provide them with a sales offer. ‘I can make your dreams a reality, if you pay’ seems to be their basic pitch.
“My beloved children, everything that has been placed in this world is for the enjoyment of all. You already have all the resources you need on this planet, so each human being can have everything needed to live a normal life and much more. If you have an idea about solving a problem, give it to the world. Don’t hold back until you first figure out a way for it to benefit you. If you can help your brother, do it without thinking that you are wasting your time because you are not making a profit. Don’t take advantage of the suffering and the confusion of your siblings in order to enrich yourself. Instead take this as an opportunity to represent your Father in this world, so those who receive your goodness can at the soul level feel that they have seen a glimpse of God through your service.”

Teacher Ophelius: “Today’s message is a plea to all you students on the path from your Inner Guide. This Fragment of the Creator, who lives and works in your mind, tirelessly, day in and day out all of the days of your life, wants you to realize and become aware of Her presence within you – to know the God within personally – to call to Her by name – a name that is the highest concept of love that you can formulate in your mind and begin to call on this beloved and divine presence daily, hourly, and in the moments when you are without distraction, to share your thoughts, feelings, and deepest desires, for She is with you and is one with you – She is you and is your direct connection with the God of all creation, for She is your reason for being.
“The time has come my friends to step up and awaken fully to this infinite resource of love, light, grace, truth, beauty, and goodness. She desires for you to have a conscious relationship with Her, and it is only through this sincere desire by you to want this connection that she will begin to speak to your conscious mind where you will feel Her presence, feel Her admonitions, and feel Her unconditional love for you. She wants to guide you intimately to know the Will of the Creator, and to become conscious of your eternal place in the universes as sons and daughters of the Most High God of Creation.
“She wants you to make the distinction between the illusions of this material world and having the awareness of the realities and the greater eternal values of what it means to be a universe citizen. She desires for you to step into the stillness and into divine communication with Her that she may teach and lead you into the joy of everlasting bliss – the unconditional love of the Father for his child. You are so very much loved, for the Father bestows this gift of Himself to be like a beacon of light that shall guide you back home to the source of your being where you will stand in the glory of the Father of lights on paradise. She wants you to feel this gravity that pulls you inward to know, to love, to have all that can be given to one so precious, so loved, so eternally worthy as you, my beloved ones.
“Say hello now to Her, for She is waiting to hear your greeting and wanting to share all with you. Make this day the day of all divine anniversaries, the day you said ‘hello’ to your Beloved One. You shall remember this day for all eternity, the day you reached up to touch the glory and marked the day on your heart – the day you began your eternal relationship with the Inner guide, the pilot to eternal adventures and keeper of everlasting and unconditional love. Subject: “Awaken and Let Your Light Shine.”

The Beloved: “It is a fact that any and all experiences ultimately lead a soul God-ward unless, of course, the soul totally rejects My indwelling light. In total rejection, selfish and evil thoughts and actions can surely lead them into the dark abyss of extinction.
However, once a soul has sensed the faintest glimmer of light, that soul will experience an insatiable hunger and an urge to find the light again and again. In doing so, it builds on faith and trust.
Through My urgings it may seek out all sorts of experiences – different places of worship, astrology, witchcraft, images of the mind, symbols, totems and addictions – all to satisfy these hunger cravings.
Through all these experiences are carved the many roads of disappointments and longings, which still lead to the ultimate destination, although the urge to find Me within, is stronger in some than in others, depending on the time they spend with Me.
When all is said and done, you are all children of the one God and therefore brothers and sisters. Honor each other as kin. As long as there are wars raging on Urantia, the cave mentality persists, especially in the financial arena, where the motto of ‘follow the money persists’.
Surely, it is time for all Urantians to wake up, and start working together for the common good of all, so the real work of progressive evolution in partnership with the Creator can begin. See to it that nothing in your mind can hinder your progress, as the time is looming when another Son of God shall walk upon this planet.
It is the hope of all celestials that the soil will be prepared through the souls that are now awakening: For them to realize that they can function as healers and light-workers, as this is a most necessary preliminary task. The Gods on high know who is willing to function as such. They also notice that little Urantia is finally growing up into a greater degree of maturity, although it has a long way to go towards her destiny of Light and Life.
It is a free will decision and privilege of each mortal to awaken and let his or her light shine.”
