Thought Adjuster: “How dangerous are expectations and prejudices that blind human beings and prevent them from discovering the truth! To progress in the adventure of the spirit, you must learn to recognize truth wherever it presents itself. This requires a spiritual insight that becomes possible only when you wholeheartedly desire to know the Father and become better each day.

By examining the life of Jesus, many notice how the Pharisees could not accept the truths that Jesus tried to show them with such zeal and dedication, simply because Jesus was not what they expected. He did not fulfill the expectations of the Messiah described by the prophets of antiquity. This spiritual myopia is alarming but far from being a weakness overcome by humanity.

Even today, the truths expressed by Jesus have not been taken seriously or applied with the necessary courage to establish a commitment to carry them to their ultimate consequences. There are very few who have dared to live lives like the Master's, lives inspired by the divine presence of the Father within their being, not responding to the material stimuli of the external world but seemingly motivated by reasons that defy the logic and common sense accepted by the majority. However, these lives are full of wisdom and rich in spiritual fruits that manifest in the experience of those dedicated to this lofty enterprise.

Do not let the things you think you know prevent you from discovering higher and more complete knowledge. Truths written in books and fossilized in the traditions of the past are only relative and limited to the experience of those who discovered and crystallized them for posterity. Every spiritual advice from the past and present should be for you simply a starting point, from which you can begin your own investigation and draw your own conclusions according to your personal experience.

The path to the Father is not singular; each of you has a personal path, drawn through your decisions and experiences. Those who limit their options by rejecting in advance what they cannot understand are like those who build fortresses and palaces along the way. They are so busy constructing their buildings that they forget to keep moving forward and the goal that is further ahead on the road. Do not drown your progress by clinging to partial truths of the present while ignoring that the understanding of higher ideals and values lies in the unknown crossroads of the path in your future. Take only what can lead you further and do not fear leaving behind that which prevents you from continuing to advance toward your eternal destination.”
