Live With Joy

Alabama, US of A, December 14, 2010.
Thought Adjuster.
Subject: “Live With Joy.”

Received by Oscar.

Adjuster: “You must find the balance between your survival instinct and your spiritual vocation. I know you desire lasting peace of mind, without the tensions of daily life, but you must understand that these tensions are necessary for your personal and spiritual progress. The trials of life are the lessons you will remember in eternity, and problems you have solved will make you a better contributor to our Father’s plan.

“Be creative. Don’t wish for inactivity, but instead find where you can express your ideas, and how you can create new realities. Are you not already discerning good from evil, or deciding which things bring you closer to God and which things do the opposite? Trust in yourself and in My presence inside you. I will always be there to guide you and advise you.

“It is true that the journey would be much easier if I would daily tell you what you should do, and if you then blindly obeyed. However, our Father has not created puppets. He created unique and individual personalities, intended to be original expressions of God. These personalities must learn to make their own decisions, as our Father does.

“Do not concern yourself with the mistakes you haven’t yet made. Don’t let the possibility of error prevent you from advancing and exploring. Certainly you don’t have to worry about the mistakes you have already made, because they are in the past. Just remember the lessons you have learned and keep living with courage and hope. Everything happens for a reason, and you have the power to make every minute of the ‘now’ important to your eternal life.

“I would like to see you living with enthusiasm, with joy, and in the spirit of exploration. Each day brings surprises and opportunities that are mostly ignored. Human beings have always had the tendency to fantasize about great projects while losing sight of the present, which is full of events our Father offers to help them grow. Remember how the apostles dreamed about the positions of honor they would hold in the material kingdom of their imagination, while completely ignoring the fact that they enjoyed the company and the personal presence of the Creator of this universe. Are you so distracted with your material fantasies that you forgot that God Himself lives within you, waiting for your attention?”

Dissertation on Prejudice

Chicago, US of A, July 6, 2012.
Teacher Prolotheos.
Subject: “Dissertation on Prejudice.”

Received by Valdir Soares.

Prolotheos: “Let us take this opportunity to examine a rather delicate topic: Prejudice. Prejudice is by definition a pre-judgment. It means that you have a previously formed opinion about something, that is, an opinion conceived before the acquisition of actual experiential knowledge. For example, you say that mangos taste bad, but you never ate one. It is from a certain perspective beneficial to human beings to be able to form opinions without actually experiencing certain phenomena. For instance, you don’t need to try walking through a solid wall to know that you can’t do that, and know that if you try it, it will hurt you. The ability of passing judgment on situations without necessarily experiencing them, is a characteristic feature of Personality. However, such judgment is only valid if the information you gathered for such a conclusion, is correct; otherwise it will unfailingly lead you to the wrong conclusion. In that instance, the problem is not your coming to a pre-judgment, but your basing it on wrong, insufficient, or inaccurate information.

“Prejudice is generally about people; and it usually involves reasoning containing all three – wrong, insufficient, and inaccurate information. When you judge people based on appearance or stereotype, you are acting with prejudice towards them. The most common contexts in which prejudice surfaces are: race, color, age, sex, appearance, and socio-economic status. It is wrong to form an opinion of people based exclusively on these aspects, because they cannot give you any information about their character. Conversely, it is impossible for intelligent beings to relate to others without having an opinion about them; everybody you know (collectively or individually) has a standing before you; that helps you to relate to this person or group. However, you should not use this evaluation to judge character (‘judge not’, said the Master, ‘lest you be judged’), but to know people better, and to find ways of loving them better. The problem is not acknowledging that a person is of certain color or age, male or female, obese or skinny, rich or poor. The problem is how you use this information – as a means to a better ministry of love, rather than to spread hatred.

“The Father in heaven is no respecter of persons; meaning: Who or what you are does not make any difference to God, because as far as your identity is concerned, it is enough for the Father to know that you are His son or daughter. Your decisions, choices and actions are that which shows how God’s love is perceived by you. He never stops loving you, even if you stop loving Him. However, God is infinitely perfect. You, on Urantia, are at best only just starting your journey towards perfection. Imperfect beings are capable of showing prejudice because they have limited information and limited capacity for handling this information. Therefore, the cure for prejudice is a process: experiential, progressive and even subject to relapses. Notwithstanding, the antidote for prejudice is well known. It is simply unconditional love. So, love people as you love yourself, and you will treat them as you would like to be treated: without prejudice.

“When love is your aim, there is no room for prejudice. I am Prolotheos, always glad to expand these concepts for you. My love is with you.”

Cycles of Life

Michigan, US of A, June 24, 2012.
Teacher Ophelius.
Subject: “Cycles of Life.”

Received by Chris.

Teacher Ophelius: “Today we would like to talk about the Cycles of Life as this pertains to the individual, the soul and its progression through the seven psychic circles of human personality potential. The Cycles of Life are those periods of time on the planet of nativity where the individual progresses in many ways and embraces change in values, ideals, activities, maturity, relationships, and beliefs. For some, the change may be hardly noticeable where there is little progression, but in others, the change is perceptible and sometimes consciously acknowledged, especially when it pertains to spiritual growth.

“Most of you can look back on your life and recognize these ‘ages’ of relevancy – times when you can clearly see how far you have come, the circle of friends there were at that time, change in your appearance, your attitudes and opinions about social norms and your acceptance of new ideals. This progression, or movement through life, is the result of your free will and your acceptance and adherence, or your rejection of, the ideal life plan as compiled by your Thought Adjuster prior to your indwelling and made available to you in the form of opportunities and relationship interactions.

For you students on the path there is a markedly noticeable change taking place in the human personality as you become more spiritually aware and seek and accept greater truths while at the same time shedding more of your social programming. When you become conscious of this ‘shift’ in spiritual awareness, you have achieved a greater degree of Adjuster compliance with the ideal life plan and the ‘atunement’ of your mind to follow the leadings of the Father’s Presence.

“All these changes in your life that you are moving through are the acclimations or orientations for the ascension – the path to perfection. You may correctly say that you are more perfect today than you were yesterday. The more ‘willing’ you are to align your will with the Creator’s will, the more rapid is the rate of change and your movement through the Seven Psychic Circles of human personality potential.

“Starting at the seventh circle and moving inward toward the first, the attainment of the third circle signifies that you are well on your way to rapid growth having now been assigned a personal seraphic guardian (a Destiny Guardian) to assist the Thought Adjuster in the coordination and stimulation of circle making decisions that foster real soul growth.

“Blessed are you, my friends, being aware of these growth cycles and have the opportunity to progress at an exponential rate. The key now is to become increasingly more aware of your Adjuster’s presence and your spiritual nature. For many of you, the time prompts and other synchronicities are your reminder of this accelerated growth and your relationship with deity as you live and experience life in the creation as sons and daughters of the Most High God.

“Peace to you,
“The Circle of Seven.”

Outlines of Truth

Chicago, US of A, May 21, 2012.
Life Carrier Orion.
Subject: “Outlines of Truth”

Received by Valdir Soares.

Orion: “We are called Life Carriers. One would assume that being able to manipulate the very elements of which life is composed, would make us inherently and deeply knowledgeable about the mysteries of the Universes. Such an assumption would be right in the sense that we know things which Urantians in their present evolutionary state could never even guess at to exist. However, it would be a wrong assumption if you thought us to produce life. We are Life Carriers, not life-producers. We understand life’s constitution and we are able to manipulate, assemble, improve and even carry along its basic elements. However, we cannot by ourselves bring life itself to fruition. This is exclusive right of the Gods, through the Michael Sons. We are only instruments, their associates participating in their function of spreading life in their creations.

“One must be very humble when seeking Truth. The first danger to avoid is the natural inclination we creatures have to ‘fabricate’ truth, when faced with questions whose answers are beyond our capacity to understand. On our search for truth, we must first accept that any truth we may find is a provisional one or, at its best, an outline of Truth, never Truth itself, because Truth itself is the essence of God, and no creature may claim having access to such supernal knowledge. Capacities are enablement and at the same time limitations: one quarter can never contain a gallon. God is not in hiding and there is not a secret He fears to reveal to us; rather, He wants us know Him ever more personally. However, the finite will never comprehend the infinite – that is a fact.

“This humble attitude should also govern our relationship with others. When our Sovereign was on Urantia, He said: ‘Judge not lest you be judged.’ Judgment presumes possession of superior knowledge and ability compared to others. Truth is not only transcendental, dynamic and ultimate; at the creature level it is also communitarian, meaning, we all share its realities and benefits. Your personal truth is not isolated from other people's truths, rather, they are dependent on each other, and considering others as valuable as yourself is to reach a larger understanding of Truth itself. All the advancements we Life Carriers have build up in the life-patterns of Nebadon, are the product of constant research, not only by our local corps but those units from all over Orvonton. Cooperation and sharing is essential to progress. Love and truth must increasingly spread on your world so their ‘contagious’ power will purify all.

“All we do is outline Truth, discover its emerging new facets, whilst never being able to comprehend its essence or the entire extension of it. Such a dynamic state is part of the infinite nature of Truth and it keeps our interest and wonder fired up for the everlasting circles of eternity. I am a Life Carrier, your companion on this sphere from long, long ago. I look forward to frequently sharing with you these short but valuable lessons for this world, which we Life Carriers care so much about.”

A Lesson on Wisdom

Urantia, June 17, 2012 (date of transcription).
Teacher: The Beloved One.
Subject: “A Lesson on Wisdom.”

Received by Lytske.

The Beloved One: “Today, let us learn something new about wisdom. To acquire wisdom may sound like so very simple a project. However, in reality to apply all your learned experiences slowly and imperceptibly into a better behavior is difficult. For long, your impulses caused you to react instead of to act. There exist an ocean of difference between known facts and experiential knowledge. The latter is acquired through trial and error, and wisdom grows by your increasingly appreciating the difference. It would be an easy life in which you would, in every way, and at all times, just know the proper thing to do, but then you would have a total lack of experiential knowledge. For this reason tiny infants start their mortal life lacking all wisdom. They must build this up throughout the maturing process, which is a life-long happening. Indeed, one never stops to learn.

“Even from birth children soon learn whether their surroundings are loving or cold and distant. They also have to learn patience, as this is a most needed and important acquirement in life. Instant gratification does not teach one the wisdom one needs, except perhaps through the mistakes one makes to grasp how not to repeat a mistake. Thus, one may instead learn to persevere, and make the best of any situation. And this brings us to perseverance which is also needed to acquire wisdom. It is often obvious in a painful and slow ‘awakening’ that things could have been done differently, and so wisdom is acquired through experiencing situations which may result in costly ramifications. Such troubling outcomes will perhaps build on previous experiences and so wisdom is garnered, slowly, and at times painfully.

“The mental and emotional costs of gaining wisdom need to be balanced by spiritual growth; otherwise this process is thrown out of balance. Sooner or later, something will happen which will cause this unbalance. Some humans are ‘hauled up short’ by some calamity or other, which serves as a wake-up call. Others watch those near and dear to them, through terrible suffering and wonder why, and ask what could be the sense of such distress. Some after their experience, or during their suffering, start to wonder if perhaps there is a better way. Every one gets their individual wake-up call to the real reason of being alive, why they are here, and where they are going. It is up to each individual to take note, and to intelligently follow up on this.

“All His children have a chance to bond with their Creator God, for no creature in all of our universes is a cosmic orphan, or cosmic accident. People may cause accidents, but the Creator does not. This needs to be clearly understood. There is great wisdom in the fact that God gave all humankind free will to choose, and to make their decisions, for this is the only way in which you can garner wisdom. You are starting out on the bottom of the evolutionary scale with the capacity for future worship and wisdom. Animals lack these two capacities, so you are a favored species to be evolving towards perfection. Each mortal garners his or her own wisdom in the fabric of life, and no one ought to be despised for being slow or different, as it still adds up to the one thing – experiential wisdom.”
