Subject: “Into Bliss Everlasting.”

The Beloved One: “Open your mind dear child. Open your mind and allow Me to flood you with abundance — an abundance of love, you can turn into loving thoughts toward anyone you meet or come into contact with.
“Get the ‘self’ out of the way, so Spirit can move through you — through your thoughts, through your speech, through your actions. Be an open and pure vessel for Me to use, so I can pour My Healing love through you to others. You did not know that love heals? I see that question in your mind.
“Let Me tell you this: each time you come to Me with an open and trusting mind, you get healed a little more, so darkness will flee and a little more light of insight and understanding will dawn.
“It is in your persistent seeking of Me where the greatest healing lies. The human mind is like a heavy door, which needs to be wedged open a fraction at a time, too much light would make the human mind greatly unstable.
“This is why drugs to achieve and enhance so-called enlightenment never work, and the inevitably following letdown becomes an enslavement, as it makes the mind hungry to ‘go there’ again, meanwhile damaging the so very delicate neurons in the process.
“The brain and the mind have the innate ability to achieve bliss all on their own when they are ready and unencumbered by chemicals of any kind dat may endanger them.
“Therefore My child, purity and sincerity are to be had the gentle and certain way, one day at a time.
“Follow Me and I shall lead you into Bliss everlasting. There is never a need for anything else when you have Me. And I Am all there is.”

A Sucker for Punishment
From the Desk of George Barnard – January 8 and 10, 2019.
This writing follows on from January 5, ‘Professionals Only’ blurb. The lady introduced to you as “X”, has had a set-back as her lungs are filling with water and even though she is on oxigen, she has difficulty breathing. We could well lose her. What to do? Ah, I’m a sucker for punishment, it seems.
January 8.
I could see her in that hospital, but sit on the window sill for a time and carefully psych out my welcome or lack of it first since I might be on my way out of the window, again. I could wear a white coat and hang a stetoscope arond my neck, just like Dr. Mendoza. No sooner thought of than done — I now look like belong in this place. The Doc is actually there and I ask him if I’m allowed to heal the woman. He says: “You can do that.”
Well, I already know that I can do that, but will she allow me to do that? Dr. Mendoza is already gone, so I gingerly approach the patient and sponge the suffocating, choking liquid from her right lung twice, then twice again from her left lung. Both lungs are largely cleared, but there is a residue still left.
January 10.
Being informed that the patient has considerably improved, I check her out and find that the residue in her lungs is hard to soak into the sponge and wash out under the tap. It’s sticky, stringy, but her lungs are now clear. I won’t be back in this hospital, but before I leave I turn her over to check the surgeons’ handiwork. I’m shocked to the core with what I see and quite shocked again as I write this.

Thought Adjuster: “All of you suffer through episodes when your body purges itself of toxic substances — an unpleasant and energetically draining process, frequently accompanied with painful abdominal cramping, distressing nausea, and other nasty symptoms.
“As a preventive measure, some of you engage in seasonal cleansings by ingesting dietary aids and absorbing purifying liquids. At the onset of the process, you may feel ‘downtrodden,’ but within a couple of days, your energy level will surge, a sure sign that you are on the road to recovery.
“There are similarities between your visible or invisible operating systems. It is why you should seriously consider a ‘soul detoxification,’ a process that, if not willingly initiated, will eventually occur, rocking your inner world.
“Your equilibrium is a complex balancing act, and your ‘spiritual body’ is also equipped with a defense mechanism that prompts it to reject what is hazardous to its health. If you adequately respond to such ‘life crises,’ they will act as catalysts for a beneficial ‘soul-purging.’ Unless you form the healthy habit of coming to Me for routine preventive check-ups, the ripple effects of toxic behaviors will lead to severe mental or emotional health crises.
“By paying close attention to your spiritual ‘pulse,’ you will promptly detect what is ‘out of whack’ and take effective countermeasures.
“Living ‘mindfully’ involves paying attention to all the subtle layers of your organism. Frequent timeouts may avert themselves to be the best treatment plan, as peace is a mighty Adviser and Healer. Your wholehearted cooperation is needed in this process, so that your soul acquires a healthy glow and zest for life.”

Thought Adjuster: “How wonderful human life would be if each mortal could discover within his or her being the immense potential and achievements that are open to human curiosity! The journey toward perfection is a journey of eternal discovery, in which the perfect and divine purpose of the Creator for all His children becomes ever clearer. In this way you become an active participant in this purpose and you grow in spirit.
“The seemingly insatiable human curiosity has been placed there for a reason. All your impulses to know more, to search for reasons, explanations, origins and destinies, serve to motivate your personality for the adventure of reaching perfection. Very soon, those who start on the search for truth discover that the greatest satisfaction can be found in discovering new values and meanings, thus obtaining an increasingly more complete vision of reality.
“During a human life, discovery comes from life experiences. When a person strives to be better every day and to become a more faithful expression of the love of the Father, that person discovers in her heart new motivations and new undesrstandings, so she can focus her efforts towards perfection in a more effective way. Do not hope to discover all the secrets of the universe during a short human life, but it is possible to achieve a more complete understanding of the Father and His purpose, while establishing a direct relationship with the Father through His Divine Presence in the human mind.
“The understanding and the discovery of deity is the adventure of the ages, an adventure without end. Deity is also present within you, which implies that the journey to discover all of your potential is also limiteless. And just like human children learn to better appreciate their parents and what they do for them as they grow, resulting in a deeper love, the children of humanity would be able to come closer to God and to desire to be more like Him, for the full satisfaction of their immortal souls.
“Human life can be compared with a palace that is filled with gifts for you. Each day represents the entrance to a new room filled with wonders to be discovered. In such a palace, every time you find yourself on the threshold of a new and unexplored room where you would feel filled with hope and anticipation, and above all, ready to find the new gifts. Why don’t you start your days this way? Each day you stand at the threshold of a new undiscovered experience. Maybe some of the things you find are not what you expected, but you can be sure that if you do not search you will find nothing, and if you remain in a single room you will be missing a lot of things to discover and enjoy. Open your mind and your heart to the experiences of each new day and take the opportunity like someone who has received a gift from heaven. This is truly living.”

Lesson #3, “The Mindset of Light and Life.”

Teacher Uteah: “In this third lesson on Light and Life we will explore the differences between a rebellion mindset and a mindset that is oriented toward progressive thinking — a people moving into Light and Life. It would be wise for us to consider the ‘Golden Rule’ as a universal understanding — and that would be helpful to keep in the forefront of your thinking, but in application on a world conditioned by rebellion, the Golden Rule is mostly thought of as a Utopian idea that comes after your neighbor adopts this thinking. Light and Life is a state of being — simply being in a relationship of goodness with your fellows.
“The application and expression of a Light and Life mindset is not something unattainable or afar off in the distant future. Many Urantians are already living with this mindset and the application of the Golden Rule — they wake each day and apply this thinking throughout the course of their day. They are naturally attractive in their energy and draw others of like mind to themselves. Herewith, a synergy begins to organize and they become moved to solve some problem of inequity in their lives, their social circles; and engage the world with an attitude that they can make a difference. These people exist today and are seen as the ‘movers and shakers’ of the world that draw attention to some need or problem to be solved. They are not interested in self-indulgence or self-recognition — no, but the recognition of the problems and inequities to be solved. These people often come from very humble or troubled beginnings and have made a decision — they used their mind and willpower to choose how they would live their life going forward — a thinking that anything is possible and achievable.
“Many of you will see these people as gifted or ingenious, but mostly they are quite ordinary in intelligence — they only see the world differently and they do not follow the same thinking that creates suffering in the world. They recognize that opportunity is a co-creative process whether they see it coming from within or through collaboration with others. The mindset of Light and Life is this way and you can be this way — you can begin today if you are willing and decide not to wait for your neighbor to adopt this thinking first. Take your co-creative thinking to the next level and become the change you want to see in the world. See the world, not as evil, but as being guided through co-creationism. Waking up to recognize co-creative guidance in your own life will empower you to work together with your fellows to move your world closer to Light and Life.
“Conservative and liberalism are mindsets that exist as the antidote to the other and rarely will they become unified to solve any problem — they naturally create separation — ‘us against them’ thinking. Unity is found in the intersecting values both sides already agree on, but use different language to describe it. Look for the intersecting values that are true, beautiful, and good for all people. ‘Unconditional understanding’ and communication are key to finding the intersecting values. Too much listening to the opinions of others without having any discerning thoughts of your own is what keeps you stuck in the polarized mindset (rebellion mindset). Recognize this polarized view and choose not to follow after it. A mindset of Light and Life is one that recognizes the exclusionary thinking of separation and applies forgiveness and mercy — it seeks for the higher ground and considers the possibilities that a way forward can be found that benefits all sides.
“The one caveat to separation is when one side is choosing an immoral path — there can be no intersecting values in immoral choosing. Who then defines what is right and wrong? Society does — it comes from a collective inner knowing and can always be held against the Golden Rule and tested. Society will always want a better path than what exists today and will work with its leadership to redefine it — it moves and transforms as the thinking of its citizens progress (or regress).
“The mindset of Light and Life is already here on your world. Look for it and you will see it — you will recognize it and you shall become more sensitive to the rebellion mindset — that thinking that creates separation or acts immorally. Think about those rare instances where two polarized sides courageously stepped aside from their positions and reached out with a handshake in the hope of finding a way forward. It makes headlines — there is a warm feeling of goodness that pervades the space around such courageous consideration and the recognition that both can co-exist having differences yet respect the other while solutions are sought. Why are these events so rare? Each side is waiting for the other to move first.
“Be the first to choose Light and Life in your own thinking and watch the miracles unfold around you.
