Teacher Samuel: “Someone heard my name being mentioned in your abode and here I am to see if I can help. I know what’s on your mind these days but you might express it for the record, especially if it is for the lists.”
George: “I don’t know if this is for the lists. So much of what we talk about these days is personal. I just want to know if we are in for WWIII and if you all are going to stop it.”
Samuel: “Hmm. First of all, there is nothing that I, in my position as your teacher, can do about your un-needed Urantia wars. Give me some moments now. (He goes missing for some five or six minutes). I’m back now and I have no definitive answer for you. It may seem cold to you, but whether there is help to arrive from above or no, depends on the outcome known only to God. Will Heaven put a stop to your war in the making or not? The real question should likely be; if the war in the end analysis, yes, the ultra long term end analysis, will produce more good than bad . . . Well, brother, only God knows.
“Worldwide your Midwayer friends are at their tasks with decision makers of all kinds, although mostly in the deep mind. It doesn’t pay for a politician to own up to having indirect contact with Those on High. Yes, even such a one as Winston Churchill, whom I believe you know and have spoken to, did on occasions and, I gather many occasions, lie down and cat-nap and listen to his ‘inner mind’. Yes, Churchill was guided, marginally so, as you must have concluded and I believe your parents also knew. However, would you really expect your Teachers to disarm a nuclear ICBM whilst in flight? I think not!
“The Midwayers are doing what they can all over the world in trying to convince those deeply involved in their trade wars that it is too late now and they must not escalade into a real war. There would be precious little left that would happily support human life. And we all agree there would not be a limited war, because once you get going, you really don’t know when or how to stop, or do you?
“You should long ago have concluded that the Midwayers are busy with a most important task. You befriended them and they never let their human contacts down, so something else is keeping them. And the fact that on isolated occasions they turn up for a quick hello, always when both Europe and America are fast asleep, should tell you they’re busy trying to avert that war-like intent.
“What will be, will be. However, at this time ‘on High’ is doing what it can to avert WWIII. This is Samuel of Panoptia. Au revoir.”

“Religion inspires man to live courageously and joyfully on the face of earth; it joins patience with passion, insight to zeal, sympathy with power, and ideals with energy.” [UB 1093:01]
Teacher Uteah: “The above quote would make a great pitch for the many perks of true religion? Religion is inspirational; it fosters courage and breeds joy. It is all these, patient and passionate, insightful and zealous; sympathetic and powerful; idealistic and a driving force.
“Some of you may be skeptical, as it is a far cry from the nature of your religious experience. Rather than questioning the accuracy of this statement, question the relevance of your belief system if it resorts to the unpleasant motivators of fear, guilt, and shame. If it does not yield into your life the juicy fruits of Spirit, isn’t it time to look for a better version?
“Jesus must have found the golden egg of spiritual living, as He came to be known as a cheerful man who bravely plowed ahead to disseminate His groundbreaking teachings about the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Man. He never rushed, as He well knew that present mindfulness is necessary to not overlook any opportunity. He campaigned passionately for the enduring values of Truth, Beauty, and Goodness; yet, He was wisely and patiently waiting for His hour to come. He generously shared His enlightenment with all. He spoke with authority in the Father’s Name but was compassionate toward His brothers in the flesh. He was proactively pursuing His God-given mandate to establish the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. He was a passionate idealist.
“Being idealistic does not necessarily imply that you are out-of-touch with reality. Realistic idealists use their energetic quota to mold their reality by taking appropriate actions. Each affirmative action has a positive impact. Period. It is so because of the inalterable universal Law of Cause and Effect.
“By embracing the religion of Jesus, you will thrive spiritually, no longer acting out of a mere sense of duty. You will joyfully act out of Love — putting your Love for God in action for the sake of your planetary siblings. This driving force is clean, renewable, and feel-good energy.”

The Beloved One: “A calm peace and joy are slowly dawning in your heart, soul and mind. Trust this process of beginning to know My leadings within you.
“Only you can experience this with Me, as each mortal can experience this with their own indwelling Spirit, which exists above and beyond all human reasoning but can be sensed by experiencing this Gift in the resulting calm and joy.
“No one will be able to understand the peace you feel until they, too, have reached this point of trust. You will instantly know this when you meet kindred spirits, as you sense this fragrant calm about them.
“It is recognition of sorts and a quiet rejoicing. In this rejoicing a heavenly friendship springs up and even when apart, a sense of spiritual connectedness remains forever.
“Eventually, after you have reached your next stage of existence and destination in eternal life, you will again seek out this spiritual friendship. Even though you have never met in the mortal estate, you will sense this fragrance also in mortals from other planets.
“The eternal Creator delights in creating as many different life-forms as possible. They are those who are indwelt with the capacity for wisdom and worship, and choose to answer the call of Spirit and the attraction of Paradise. They will learn to listen to the inner Guide, which the eternal God so graciously bestowed upon His mortal creatures to help them find their way to Paradise.
“All shall by their free will and decision making ascend out of the dust of the material temple at the dissolution of the mortal estate. They will travel to the shores of the Mansion worlds to continue their training in the eternal quest of their search for God and His eternal Glory.
“Many mysteries await those who accept this eternal challenge in faith and trust in the loving over-care and perfect Guidance on the road ahead.

Subject: “Dreams about Retirement.”

The Scribe: “For ‘almost forever’ on this world your near-endless array of man-made religions has taught that after a most hectic life on solid ground you are entitled to ‘Requiescat in Pace’ and possible strumming a guitar or banjo whilst sitting on a cloud. However, some have come just a little closer to the eternal truth by again putting you back to work to reach perfection, but back on this very same world. Drats!
“We all know and understand that such a concept was originated by clear vision but those who have found their contact with lowly Midwayer to God-head and evolving Deity have lost their religion, yes, to a man (or a woman)and they now see themselves as young spiritual beings. Religion has been set aside. It was needed, a stepping stone, the training wheels to a deeper understanding.
George: “The often-repeated marking on so many grave-stones, ‘Requiescat in Pace’, or ‘stay cool till the next batch of sleeping subjects is ready to go’ no longer applies to them. They know they have a guaranteed three-day travel voucher good for ‘The Central Station’ of Mansonia One.
The Scribe: “And these last tongue-in-cheekremarks (previous paragraph) are entirely the receiver’s, not Mine. We carry on with the lesson now. For those that have given no thought to eternal life, or even a Creator of all to exist, there is nothing to do when death is near but to wish for their lives to go on. And they shall live, be given a chance. Logically, their limited spiritual expertise will not be in great demand. However, many of those who have been casual throughout their lives have also been excellent neighbours and friends to others and such records will stand them in good stead. Death will be their final wake-up call.
“It is much better to use the questioning mind you are born with and admit to the obvious that there’s likely to be a God, for Him or Her to give you a sign or to allow for that possibility, just in case. Those that do receive all the help they need, but ever-so-much more than you can imagine at this point in time, whilst you still live on a world as tough as Urantia. You will be greatly favoured being one of those who could know God without seeing His material representative on this earth. You will be gifted with a body that will hardly ever fail you, a soul that will grow each day, a mind that will gather much wisdom and retain it all.
“Many things I can assure you of: You will rarely feel tired. You will always remain enthusiastic about your projects and not dream about retirement, guitars nor clouds and neither will you be advising your morontia companion what lumber to prepare for the un-needed roofs for his lecture theaters.

Thought Adjuster: “You are at first hand observing how human beings should start to relinquish the comforts and luxuries so prevalent among some groups in later generations. Life on this planet is not easy for the vast majority of the population and only a few can enjoy some privileges that are well beyond the reach of the rest of the people. True equality will only exist on this planet when all resources are distributed equally, instead of being hoarded by a group, a social class, or a nation.
“Everyone has the right to enjoy the benefits of their work, and material wealth is one of these benefits. However, how can anyone enjoy the benefits of their work – those who live in the areas of the planet that have been impoverished by the greed of a few? How can one justify that in different parts of the world some accumulate wealth while others can’t even sustain themselves, even when they posses the same ingenuity and perform the same tasks?
“For a long time, this world has maintained economic and resource distribution systems based on exploitation and greed. Industry and human progress have lost sight of their mission to promote the ideas and developments that improve life for all, instead focused exclusively on benefiting only a minority. You even pretend to turn the products of your minds into property and it is punished by your laws to use your mind’s resources when someone else has decided that an idea belongs to him or her. Don’t you realize that your mind is a shared resource? Don’t you know that human intellect should function for the benefit of all humanity? Have you forgotten where your ingenuity and inspiration come from?
“The truth is that you have created an unsustainable situation and that false structure is starting to crumble under its own weight. It is in these moments when your true strength should arise and that strength can only be found within your being, in the God Fragment of eternal and divine origin that inhabits every one of you. It is there where you will be able to find unity of purpose and inspiration to be better each day and to strive to perfect your being, thus overcoming the consequences of your limited and materialistic point of view of the past.
“The falling of your system of greed and materialism is not ‘divine punishment’. It is rather the natural consequence those have to face who attempt to alter the laws of the universe by obstructing divine love and creating a false reality. Sooner or later, the equilibrium of creation will prevail and the love of the Father will end up balancing all things to create the perfect balance of goodness, truth, and beauty.
“This is not a disastrous prophecy, nor a myth about the end of the world. It is simply the understanding that each human being can reach on his or her own when objectively observing the way in which the groups, governments, and corporations are making their decisions. You are creating more problems for the future and many will suffer in the years to come. However, you are evolutionary beings ‘designed’ to learn from your mistakes. Therefore, it is very likely that the difficulties that come your way will be precisely what you need to achieve the spiritual awakening that is so badly needed in this world. Know that everything you need to live a full life, filled with abundance in spiritual treasures – those with value beyond time – you already possess and none of the things that may happen can prevent you from living a human life filled with purpose and meaning.”
