Subject: “Are you Still Picking up Seashells?”

Ophelius: “The message we have for you today is about exploring the unknown. There are far too many souls that are splashing around in the shallow waters of life where it is safe and warm — never knowing what it is like to be completely submerged in the cool deep water where danger, mystery, and treasure lay buried. Whole lifetimes are spent picking up seashells, which are only the dead and washed up skeletons of creatures whose time has passed. They become like the empty shells they seek strewn about the surface of the sand because they themselves remain on the surface of life and never seek to have a deep thought about where they are going after they leave their own skeletons behind. You, my dear friends, were created for adventure — to seek and explore the unknown — to open doors; to create things of beauty; to scale mountains; to discover the deepest part of who you are — to challenge yourself to overcome the self-imposed limitations that were conditioned into you by a world that hands you a shovel and bucket.
“This life you have on earth is but a single heartbeat in the adventure that awaits you in eternity. You are the eyes, the ears, the hands and feet of the Creator in your universe — you are the explorers and the experiencers that move through time and become a part of the whole equation of universe reality — you are a part of the answer that completes the Creator’s question: ‘Who Am I?’ As a co-creator and partner with God, you decide what experiences you will have as you live and so the quality of those experiences affects the outcome in the whole equation of universe completion.
“The Creator desires to have ‘all-experience’ and therefore does He require diversity of experience. If the whole world is picking up seashells every day, how diversified is that experience for the Creator? Can a universe move into completion (Light and Life) when one planet in a system refuses to change — to stay cemented to old ideas that instill fear of the unknown? It only takes one person to move into the deeper water and find a living shell that is beautiful, animated, and interesting, and to hold it up to the crowd and say, ‘Look what I found!’ Then will they all gather around and marvel at it and begin to move out into the deep water to find their own beautiful living shell, and then they will go even deeper. This is how a planet can move from the darkness of fear and ignorance to light and life — someone has to be courageous and peer into the darkness to shine a light onto the path.
“There is a saying on your world, ‘As above, so below.’ Just as the quality of your childhood experiences shape who you are as an adult, so too does the quality of your entire life in this world shape the disposition of your afterlife. This is not to say that the limitations of opportunity imposed upon you in this life limit what you may become in eternity, no — you will be given every opportunity to explore those adventures you need to feel whole and complete, but if you are curious by nature, and not afraid to look into the unknown, those personality qualities will serve you well and will afford you the greatest of adventures and the grandest of experiences. This is what the Creator wants for you — to see beyond the horizon of your current view and to have as many of those ‘ah-ha’ moments and astonishing surprises as you will allow. The universes were created to provide you those contrasting experiences and to fulfill your desires to know.

Thought Adjuster: “A life truly consecrated to the Will of the Father will never go unnoticed. Such a life is the most eloquent statement of the existence of God and represents the greatest contribution that a human being can offer to Creation. It has been said that the greatest gift a mortal can give to the Creator is to surrender to His Will, but this is also the greatest gift that all personalities can give to themselves and their neighbors.
“You may not fully understand how a simple life of dedication to the pursuit and achievement of perfection can have a significant influence. Would you not need help from the media? Would you not need followers to proclaim your message? The leaders of the World have followers, but the true spiritual leaders – those who travel the way of the Father and illustrate this for their peers – have no followers, they have ‘traveling companions’.
“As the follower of a teacher you could preserve the learned truths for posterity and dedicate your life to show others the teachings of your leader. As a travelling companion, you will travel the same path as your teacher, personally experience the same understandings and discover the same truths. These truths will become part of your being and you will be able to express them with true authority to your peers, in an original way, with total conviction, and without your resorting to blind faith or intellectual coercion.
“Truly, a travelling companion is worth more than ten thousand followers. Travelling companions keep the truth alive in their hearts and enjoy the impulse to get closer and closer to the Father. They understand that their teacher – the one who originally showed them the way – is just a fellow man or woman who has walked a few steps further; therefore, they would never belittle those who find themselves a few steps back.
“This World will not triumph over its confusion and its multitude of problems through the fragmentation of truth. There is no creed on this planet that should be accepted uniformly so that everyone is better. The only message is that everything needed for spiritual progress is already inside the mind of every human being. The only thing that is needed is that each one independently explores their relationship with this fragment of God and discovers within themselves the Master who holds the key of Eternity for the life of each one of God’s children in this sphere.”

Subject: “To Be or Not to Be?”

Teacher Uteah: My Dear Students,
For all you blessed souls on Urantia that are indwelled by the Father’s Spirit, it should not be surprising for you to understand that your Thought Adjuster (TA) is the reason for your being. The very reality whereby your consciousness operates is existential in the Father’s all-pervading Spirit. His Fragmented Nature that Indwells your mind and focuses on your life and its development is connected to the Source of all things — mind, energies, and every sub-atomic particle in the Universes. Your personal consciousness is a division of the One Consciousness — you are connected to it and immersed in it. To understand this integral relationship relative to your finite development — being an imperfect part of the Perfect Whole, you can expand your consciousness beyond the boundaries of your present awareness and discover that “child consciousness” has access to the “Parent Consciousness” and all the treasures of light and life therein.
What does this mean? Simply, it means that you can become “god-like” by removing the perceived limitations of the imperfect mind. What your world needs are more “visionaries” to “see beyond” the limitations of your imperfect world and bring those visions into reality. To envision “some-thing” is an inherent ability of the child to create — to manifest a vision, is an act of deity — co-creation. Your will to create a vision is the first step in the process of handing that vision to deity for processing. When you “see it” the Thought Adjuster also sees it and understands the vision. Your limitation, that which thwarts manifestation, is your self-imposed boundary — that you are acting alone, or your vision is not a true desire.
What then is a “true desire?” A true desire is having the willpower, faith, and trust, to bring forth a vision without limitation — you believe that it shall become your reality — you “see it” and care not about the voices of your conditioning that say, “It is not possible given your place and circumstance according to authority.” Your TA is the Creator and partner in your co-creative team. The TA has no limitations — It is only your imperfect thoughts that dampen the manifestation of co-creation. In a truer sense, the TA works in the all-pervading presence of the Father to manifest exactly what you desire according to your “qualification” of that vision. As Shakespeare once said, “To be or not to be, that is the question?” Much of human thought falls on the side of “not-to-be” and so it is — it is the perfect manifestation that answers the question: “What is my desire according to my qualification?”
Mass consciousness is beginning to recognize the pattern of “not-to-be” so many times that it now sees something wrong with the narrative. Urantians are struggling to understand how the quality of their thoughts affects their reality. When you give others the authority to think for you — it is their vision, not yours, and often that vision is not something that benefits the quality of your life or your growth as an individual. Recognizing this disparity can lead to only one conclusion: You, your consciousness, your thoughts, and the qualification of your desires is your responsibility. Change begins with you and by expanding your consciousness to see above the limitations of your conditioning.
You, my dear students, are indwelled by the Spirit of the Father that has no limitations. Be a visionary and see something that shall improve the quality of your life and provide a way of growth for your soul — then expand that vision and see it for all others. Move your thoughts on the side of “to-be” and witness the power of the co-creative process.

Subject: “Who Made Whom in His Image?”

Thought Adjuster: “Genesis 1:27 states that “God created man in his own image” — a statement that was misinterpreted due to humankind’s state of spiritual immaturity. The Fifth Epochal Revelation of The Urantia Book sheds light on what it means: “Regarding the endowment of man with the divine Adjusters, the Father said: “Let us make mortal man in our own image.” [UB 10:3.1]
What many fail to understand is that, due to their evolutionary nature, human beings ‘progressively’ achieve God-likeness. Born as spiritual ‘rookies,’ humans need the spontaneous activations provided by flashes of insight — those momentous Ah-Ha moments when they grasp that they are a living tabernacle of Divinity — their Indwelling Divine Fragment.
Once they engage in an honest ‘identity quest,’ they will naturally be drawn to discover the truth, beauty, and goodness seeded within their persona. Far from turning out to be a wild goose chase, their pursuit will be revelatory as to the divinely-ordained purpose of their existence. “The eternal salvation of this truth-discerning and beauty-loving soul is assured by that hunger and thirst for goodness which leads this mortal to develop a singleness of purpose to do the Father’s will, to find God and to become like him.” [UB 132:3.4]
What needs to happen is that humankind stops projecting unto God their baser character traits. God’s patience is unwavering, as it is firmly anchored in the eternal now. Yet, He has been depicted as ‘quick to anger,’ which caused many to live in anguish of His supposed wrath.
It is their conflicted nature that led humankind to arrive at erroneous conclusions about their Maker, thus ‘making Him in their image’ — a fear-inspiring Entity prone to mood swings.
Many unconsciously project their shortcomings unto others, failing to detect the mirror effect that is occurring. As you self-improve, you will progressively alter the ‘image’ you entertain about your Heavenly Father. A sense of safety and loyal affection will move in. You will no longer operate in an unproductive mode of self-denial, being busy at attuning your ‘self-image’ to My Image. My prompts will take you inward and upward — slowly but increasingly emerging as a divinely powered being of light.”

Thought Adjuster: “Warfare and riots are peace’s archenemies. Far from quenching the emotional fires, they fuel them. Violence is versatile in its venting. It may be expressed through biting spoken words that culminate in traumatic emotional or physical altercations.
“Yes, you should be disgruntled about any miscarriage of justice and become a peaceful activist for their remediation. Wisely invest the motivational force of your righteous indignation so that it brings about happier endings.
“No one can make well-informed decisions from a place of boiling anger, as the irrationality of this out-of-control emotion results in spur-of-the-moment devastative behaviors that the perpetrators come to regret later on, once they have regained a semblance of objectivity and composure.
“Why then not cool down first? It is how Jesus approached emotionally-loaded situations. He witnessed discriminations based on economic wealth, race, gender, religious beliefs, education, and more. In no way, was He indifferent, as He took to heart His calling to be a planetary healer.
“However, He had first to meet the prerequisite of self-mastery — of not letting capricious emotional trade winds toss Him around. He remained anchored in the substance of peace and was able to ‘reasonably’ and thought-provokingly become an effective problem-solver while making the point that no one can take the Kingdom of Heaven by force.
“Your world has been crying out for peace since millennia. It has been plagued by incessant warfare, the entertainment of historical and personal grudges, the inability to forgive the past and move on toward a culture of peace.
“Undoubtedly, 'out-rage' is a form of rage, as it is supercharged with destructive emotions. It is most advisable to take a time-out and cool your heels before addressing the situation at hand when you find yourself in such a violent emotional state.
“Always act in support of enduring moral values — the only ones that are self-justifying. By doing so, you are justified and become a catalyst for positive evolution.”
