Thought Adjuster: “When a person grows in spirit, this growth becomes quite evident in the material world. If this person were to be laboring in an enterprise in disharmony with the will of the Father, this individual would feel motivated to make changes. When this someone would start to feel the desire to lovingly serve her neighbors, she might become inspired to dedicate her efforts to a task where such service would be possible.
“Often, those who awaken to the realities of spirit become more effective in expressing the will of the Father in their current professions. Doctors discover the soul hidden in the body of their patients. Teachers direct their teachings to the minds and the souls of their pupils. Those who pick up the trash try to make the world beautiful for their siblings. Workers feel pride on their role in creating a product or a service that will do something positive for somebody. Each profession can discover a way to elevate the routine of its tasks to the heights of the realization that we are the hands and feet of our Father in this world, doing what He has entrusted to us.
“Sometimes, the desire to serve, and the impulse to self-discovery, can reveal talents and abilities that earlier remained unnoticed. I bid you to explore these talents as much as possible. Perhaps what you are motivated to do today may merely start as a hobby – something you do during your free time – but it may as well be your greatest creative contribution to eternity. Don’t be too concerned with immediate rewards, or with worldly glory. Instead, direct your vision at the rewards of eternity.
“Explore your talents in areas where you feel inspired to do this. Do not repress your desires, just because they may not bring you any benefit in this world. The biggest prize lies in the discovery of another aspect of your personality, and another talent granted you by the Father. Eternity will be filled with discoveries that only depend on your willingness to explore and try new things.”
