Learn the Art of Objective Assessment

Subject: “Learn the Art of Objective Assessment.”

Message received by Chris Maurus.

Teacher Ophelius: “Today, dear One, we would like to speak about the importance of maintaining a healthy mental demeanor and physical vitality as a way to protect and build your spiritual nature, which directly affects the way in which you contribute to your ‘soul account.’ There are so many on this world who toil under great stress dealing with all the unforeseen events that arise and the complexity of daily living to keep one’s ‘head above the water,’ so to speak, that they can and do suffer greatly in the area of spiritual development. It is of great importance that you learn to step outside this ‘seriousness’ of life and see things from a different perspective. Clarity can only come from objective assessment, and to be objective, you must be the observer and not the actor.

“When the Master Jesus, during his ministry on earth, was teaching and preaching with his apostolic crew, he made it mandatory that they take every Wednesday off and go into nature and relax, play and be of good cheer. This was a way for them to relieve the stresses of life, to get exercise and to find clarity in the complexities of their often difficult mission to enlighten a generation that was very fixed in their beliefs and religious practices. It took a great deal of objective assessment, not only for each one personally, but also as a group, to make good decisions and plot a course of action for the days ahead. Without this recreational time each week, the burdens of life would have overtaken the apostles with stress, sickness and spiritual diminution of power.

“When you have the space to ‘breathe’ and see things from a different perspective, it is easier to sort out what is important and what needs attention from what is trivial or egocentric. You have a saying, ‘don’t sweat the small stuff.’ That is good advice, my friends, and to determine what is small and what needs attention requires a clear mind. The physiological benefits of being in nature and getting needed exercise helps keep the physical systems operating in balance, which affects your emotional centers. If the physical systems are out of balance, then so too are the emotional centers and your ability to think clearly. The Master knew this and this is why he integrated this recreational time into his ministry.

“Contributions to your ‘soul account’ shall happen more often when you learn the art of objective assessment. This is where you glean wisdom from life’s experience. If you are always reacting to life and to the situations you find yourself in, then you are learning little and life becomes a linear succession of doing rather than being. When you reflect on life and on your own behavior and action, you can see more clearly where you need to improve and this process is also helpful in understanding the root cause for the behavior and actions of others who are perhaps not seeing clearly because of their own inability to use objective assessment when dealing with others. ‘The Golden Rule’ in application is derived from objective assessment — to see clearly how one’s own behavior and actions affect another — to insert yourself as the recipient of the proposed action of your decisions. Many of the problems on your world could be solved if everyone would take a day off and play in the park; get clarity of mind; and use objective assessment to plan for the course ahead.

“Health in body = Clarity of mind = Growth in spirit. Seems simple does it not?

Forgive and Forget

Message received by Lytske.

The Beloved: “Misunderstandings are prone to arise in human relationships. The reason for this is always a lack of love, and the limited point of view of both parties, for no one fully comprehends the joys and sorrows, the plans and the ideals, in another’s heart.

Words can be well meaning to one person and demeaning and destructive to the other. It is by trial and error that human understanding grows, and insights come, leading to wisdom.

Your Master Jesus never wearied of saying: ‘Forgive and forget.’ So, may I remind you that as long as you do not forget it has not been forgiven. Therefore, it is not seven times, but seventy times seven, ad-infinitum, and until it is totally forgotten.

Remember how Jesus, while hanging on the cross, said, ‘Father forgive them, for they know not what they do.’ Such a great love and pity He had for His mortal, spiritually blind children who did not accept His simple message, that God is a God of love. Unwittingly, in their madness, they visited their unjust and cruel punishment upon Him by nailing the most beloved Creator of a universe to a piece of wood. In His agony, Jesus still prayed for them. Since then, your world is known throughout all creation as the World of the Cross.

This, My beloved, is the point of understanding I desire for you to strive for. When someone unwittingly grieves you, elevate yourself towards a greater spiritual understanding of others. And pray even for those who spitefully use you.

Your job is to grow in grace with love towards all. Your Master-Son is your example in all this. It is truly regrettable that they made this whole sordid affair into a grandiose spectacle, as He was totally innocent of any wrongdoing. They did all this without any trial or defense. Then later, the greatest mistake was made when they made Him out to be an offering for their sins, which even now is the foundation of the church that bears His Name.

It is in the resurrection, where His greatest triumph lies – the promise and proof that life goes on after mortal death. I desire for you to dwell upon this, rather than upon His inhuman death.

He, indeed, had the power to lay down His life and take it back up again.”

“Man consciously grows from the material to the spiritual by the strength, power, and persistency of his own decisions….” [UB, 117:3.6].

Thought Adjuster: “The human body’s heavy density allows it to move around the planetary floor during its earthly exploratory sojourn. The average human body supposedly has a density of 985 kilograms per cubic meter. In contrast, air density decreases with increasing altitude and changes in atmospheric pressure, temperature, and humidity. At 101.325 kPa (abs) and 15 °C, the air has a density of approximately 1.225 kg per cubic meter, about 1/1000 that of water.

What makes matters even more complex is that a human organism also consists of more aetheric energetic bodies. The emotional heart and spiritual selfhood are embryonic at birth. Their sound development depends on human free will decisions and the desire to grow in love and wisdom.

In some fashion, one could say that the material body exerts an initial anti-gravitational force on the human spirit. Many are oblivious of their higher dimensions and spend the duration of their life earthbound, mismanaging their precious time allotment at the expense of the development of their budding spiritual wings — their butterfly side.

Physical growth is unconscious. It just happens, which should give your mind and soul the freedom to cater to themselves through insightful and wise decisions — strong, powerful, and persistent.

What a narrow life you live if you overlook your eternal potential! You miss out on so much when keeping your eyes obstinately fixated on the ground when a starry canopy of golden opportunities offers itself to your spiritual vision if only you would remember to look upward.

Jesus came to introduce you to this noble dimension without ever being labeled as a spaced-out personality. He was a practical individual, discriminatory as to which human experiences he chose to have and which ones he did not. Addictions had no hold on him. His spirit soared high and free, blessing him with a panoramic and enlightening bird eye-view.”

Received by Oscar.

Thought Adjuster: “The intention of a human being to become similar to God is realized by the effective alignment of the human will with the will of God. If you want to know how close you are to living a life consecrated to the will of God, you just need to determine how many of your decisions and actions have been made with the highest and purest intent, with your mind and your heart firmly aimed towards the goal of eternity.

“This consecration is only possible in those who stop to think about the consequences of their decisions. Acting in an impulsive or non-reflective way limits your options because you are depriving yourself of the opportunity to use your spiritual resources to determine your own destiny. In all circumstances, it is always possible to take a moment for reflection and to consult your Thought Adjuster regarding the best course to take. The important decisions in life should never be made in haste and nobody can force anybody else to act without the opportunity for deliberation.

“An important step in the path of spiritual progress is self-mastery. At the beginning this is just an increase in the ability for self-observation and to be always awake and aware of the actions being performed. Life would be so much joyful and satisfactory for many if they only used their wisdom and had the presence of mind to seek the advice of their Divine Sparks before they act.

“Do pay attention to the way in which you react to certain situations. Forget your haste and take all the time you need to make a decision. Once you have chosen considering your highest principles and values, move forward with courage and leave the outcome in the hands of the Father. This is how a human soul is forged for the work of eternity. This is how the trust between man and God becomes stronger and real.

“Let your intention be always oriented towards truth, beauty and goodness. Let it be guided by unconditional love and let this high and enlightened intent be the force that determines your destiny. This is truly the slow but sure path to perfection.”

Message received by Bettina.

Thought Adjuster: “Stop. You have to realize where you are and where you are going. Sometimes you give attention to so many different things that you don’t really attend to any. It’s like trying to go to a number of different places at the same time. You strive hard, but you are getting nowhere.

“Focus. Meditate. Clearly decide where you want to go and write it down. Then draw an action plan, a defined path for the journey. And then put in all your energy, your mind and your heart to reach that goal.

“Let your life be your best project. Treat it with love and invest your whole being into it.

“I will be with you all the way.”
