Amazing medal

 

This is the charm that was found between the sheets of the young lady's bed. It looks like it is made of gold, but is really silver.

This is the back of the same charm. The two indentations, equally spaced from the edge, suggests that a clasp was at one time soldered there for the charm to be worn as a brooch.

This picture was taken from the web, identified as representing St. Benedict, the patron saint of "Happy Death". These medallions were usually attached to a rosary.
